Ethics of Psychic & Medium Readings
Safe, Grounded & Empowering Sessions
When you’re booking a psychic or medium reading, you’re not just booking a service—you’re opening up a part of your life that can be personal, emotional, and sometimes vulnerable.
Because of that, ethics aren’t optional in this work… they’re essential.
This page is here to give you a clear sense of how I approach my sessions, so you know exactly what kind of space you’re stepping into—one that is grounded, respectful, and designed to support you, not overwhelm you.
I’m Sarah, a professionally trained Psychic Medium offering readings in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and online across Canada. Everything I do is guided by a strong commitment to integrity, clarity, and your overall well-being.
Why Ethics Matter
A reading can touch on real parts of your life—relationships, emotions, grief, decisions you’re trying to make.
It’s not just information being shared. It’s an experience that can influence how you feel, how you think, and sometimes the direction you choose to go in.
That’s why this work needs to be handled carefully.
In areas like parapsychology and even psychology, there’s long been an emphasis on responsibility when working with perception, interpretation, and the human experience. The same applies here.
How the Reading Begins
At the start of your session, we take a moment to settle in.
This usually looks like grounding your energy, creating a calm and respectful space, and allowing the session to open naturally. There’s no rush—it’s about letting the connection build in a way that feels steady and comfortable.
From there, the reading begins to unfold.
The Way I Hold This Work
Rather than a list of rules, it’s easier to understand this through how I actually approach a session.
Your free will always comes first. Nothing in a reading is meant to override your judgment or tell you what you “have” to do. The goal is to give you clarity—not control your decisions.
You won’t hear fear-based language in my sessions. I don’t talk about curses, negative attachments, or anything designed to create anxiety or urgency. You don’t need fear to receive insight, and you should never leave a reading feeling unsettled or pressured.
I also don’t guarantee outcomes. That includes specific predictions, exact timelines, or ensuring a particular loved one comes through in a mediumship session. This work involves interpretation, not certainty—and being honest about that matters.
Your emotional well-being is always respected. If something feels intense or overwhelming, we slow things down. There’s no rush, and nothing is pushed beyond what feels comfortable for you.
And everything you share is held in complete confidence. Your session is private, and your personal information is treated with respect.
What an Ethical Reading Feels Like
An ethical reading should feel steady.
It should feel like you’re being spoken with, not spoken at. There’s a difference between being guided and being told what to do—and that difference matters.
You should feel like you’re able to think clearly, ask questions, and stay connected to your own intuition throughout the session.
Good intuitive work doesn’t take your power away—it brings you back to it.
There’s a strong alignment here with psychological perspectives as well. Thinkers like Carl Jung spoke about the importance of self-awareness and understanding your inner patterns, rather than handing your authority over to something external.
That’s the space I aim to hold.
What to Be Mindful of When Choosing a Reader
Not all experiences in this space are the same, so it’s worth paying attention to how something feels before and after a reading.
If someone is using fear to keep you coming back, claiming certainty about everything, guaranteeing outcomes, or creating a sense that you need them to function—that’s something to step back from.
The same goes for being pressured into additional sessions or being told something is “urgent” in a way that creates anxiety.
A good reading should leave you feeling clearer, calmer, and more grounded—not dependent or unsettled.
Your Role in the Experience
A reading isn’t something that happens to you—it’s something you’re part of.
You’re encouraged to stay open, but also grounded. To take in what resonates, and to let go of what doesn’t.
Your own intuition still matters. In fact, the best readings tend to strengthen it, not replace it.
Online Readings (Winnipeg & Across Canada)
All sessions are offered over Zoom, so you can connect from Winnipeg, anywhere in Manitoba, or anywhere across Canada.
The same ethical standards apply whether you’re in the same city or across the country. The space remains just as grounded and supportive.
A Few Common Questions
Sometimes people wonder what happens if something doesn’t resonate. That’s completely okay—take what feels true for you and leave the rest.
Readings are not a replacement for medical, legal, or psychological advice. They’re meant to offer insight and perspective, not professional diagnosis or direction.
And when it comes to dependency, ethical readings are designed to do the opposite—they help you feel more grounded in yourself, not reliant on someone else.
